A Spirit of romance and African tranquility seems to engulf Riverside Castle, situated in Zwavelpoort, Pretoria East, where Highveld becomes Bushveld - the trademark of South Africa.

Although the Middle Ages are often remembered for human hardships, it was also the era that initiated new artistic and architectural styles. Through it all, faith was an ever present enigma and men fought and died for their religious beliefs. The most beautiful cathedrals were built as refuges of peace and as a testimony of their precious beliefs. The Middle Ages eventually gave birth to Castles and Romance.
